As of July 19, 2020, Chicago has witnessed 2096 shootings, but this number becomes even more horrifying when knowing there were ‘only’ 2754 shootings for all of 2019.
Even more horrific is the fact that as of July 19, 2020, there have been 418 Homicides in the Windy City, compared to the ‘only’ 519 homicides for the entirety of 2019.
